Where to camp/full-time/park an older rv ?

So son and DIL have bought an older motorhome think its a ‘98 nice, real nice. Looks almost new! Now,they are having trouble finding where to fulltime in it. Think professionals working from “home”. Mainly looking in cali, and no, no trailer parks. 😫anyone have a solution ?

California is a VERY large/long state.
Where are they looking?

Professionals working from home.........so could work anywhere ---correct?

Some RV RESORTS have 10 yr RV age restrictions but NOT all and even ones that do many don't fully enforce it ...might ask for photos of RV and 'waive' the 10 yr rule

Many RV PARKS don't have age restrictions...

They need to spend time going thru reviews/info/websites of CGs WHERE they are looking to spend time

Here is website that has reviews/info and links to CG Websites.

A co-worker's son went through the same issue last fall. He got a coding job with a vendor to Google in the Bay area. In an attempt by-pass the high rents in the Bay area he bought a small class c (2006 IIRC) thinking he could live in a campground cheap. He quickly found out there were no vacancies to begin with in the bay area and the few he could find 50 miles away wouldn't allow long term over 10 years old. He hopped short-stay campgrounds for a couple of months before he gave up. He sold the rv and moved into a 3 BDR apartment with 5 other people .

Do they have to go to the actual office or can they work online?

You stated "no trailer parks". Some people call RV parks, trailer parks. Do they want to live on private land? Some mobile home parks have RV spaces. Do they need to live in a certain area? Yes, the '10-year' rule might come into play, especially in California. Need a little more information.

Escapees have two parks in CA and I don’t believe they have a 10 year rule. Your son may look into joining and using one or both of their parks. They also have about a dozen other parks and a dozen co-op parks outside of CA. AZ, NM, TX, AL, FL,TN, OR.

Check on some of the Thousand Trails / Encore parks (if there are any in the area). They may not be "inexpensive" from a standpoint that you have to have a membership to use them but they do have annual spots. I know there are some in the San Diego area but they may have some issues with getting cell service in the parks there as they are pretty remote (assuming that they are trying to use cellular as their internet access)
