I've been there too....however the beach didn't look like that, there were bazillions of people on it.

Bazillions of people everywhere you went.

If Az wasn't too far, that would be a nice state to visit during that time. We will be in Florida and Texas during spring break,...Disneyworld and my peaceful ranch to be exact.

Hi ninos,
To keep the travel time down and enjoyment time maximized consider Washington DC or Myrtle Beach, SC. The first week in April is the week after Easter Sunday. The weather should be quite nice in either place. There is quite a lot to do for all ages. If the weather in one area is bad, you got wheels, head out for the other place. In the DC area consider Cherry Hill CG. Go to Cherry Hill Park is the Closest Campground to Washington, DC :|: Cherry Hill Park for information. I recommend Cherry Hill because they have complete information and access (bus stop at the CG) to allow taking public transport in/out of DC. In Myrtle Beach any of the CGs at the South end of the area are fine. There are:
Ocean Lakes Ocean Lakes Family Campground, Myrtle Beach, SC - Oceanfront camping
Lakewood Myrtle Beach, SC Campground, RV Park, Rentals
Pirate Land Myrtle Beach Camping : Pirateland Campground in Myrtle Beach, SC
Are all fine places to stay.

Last year we went to Cedar Key, FL. It's on the west coast of FL north of Tampa. Stayed at a fairly new campground 5 miles outside of town that I can't remember the name of. Lovely area, reminds me of the Florida when I was a kid.
