We have only had the Trav'ler for 7 years and have yet to have it fixed in any way. We installed it. Not sure I would pay more to have a unit I could repair.

RF Mogul. It is more sturdy than the Traveler and completely field serviceable. Great tech support from the company. I had an issue with a Traveler and the only answer from Winegard was take it off the coach and ship to them for rebuild (less than 3 yrs old). The little GPS module in my RF Mogul started acting up. Called RF Mogul, diagnose over the phone, express shipped module to me, I installed in 10 minutes. Good to go.
