who had a Flat with stabilizer installed?

Yes I read lots about steering stabilizers on here but I am wondering or would like to hear from someone who has a steering stabilizer on it and had a flat. As in if you had a roadmaster or steer safe or what ever on your Class a Motorhome and then had a flat or blow out. As I would like to hear from someone that had a flat and the steering stabilizer actually helped and saved them. As the best proof is from someone with experience. k have a great week end everyone. Peace

Great question. I've often wondered the same thing. I put one on my rig years ago to help with handling but can only remember one or two instances of anyone reporting here on how they did during an actual blow out.

Yes I have a Safe-T-Plus installed right after I purchased my motorhome. I first had a blowout on left rear inside tire which most often causes no problems as far as handling, but made me know what that cannon shot sounds like when a high pressure tire blows.

My second blowout occurred on my left front tire while traveling at 70 mph(legal speed). Heard the cannon shot and felt my seat drop down, however motorhome stayed traveling down in my lane with no feel on the steering wheel. Kicked out the cruise and coasted until speed dropped enough to steer off road. At no time did I feel the steering wheel shimmy or shake. At that time the Safe-T-Plus did all that I hoped it would when I purchased it and it does not owe anything.
