Who makes a good LED porch light or bulb

I replaced our porch light bulb with one purchased on ebay last year. Think I paid a little less than $10. The thing's got like 60 some odd little LED's on it, so I thought it would be pretty bright. It is not...............

Can anyone recommend one they've used that is pretty bright? There are so many options out there for these things.

I bought the 300 lumes led at camping world for my outside porch light. Yes it's as bright if not brighter than the original. There are around $28.00. That bulb should outlive me. What a thought.

Same thoughts with my replacement LED's- I've ordered several on line also.

I put an amber one in my Porch light several years ago and you can see absolutely nothing with it at night. We need all the help we can get at night in coastal Maine to help keep the mosquitoes and other bugs out as you transtition in and out of the rig.

Those little LED hummers are "dear" in price-

If you are willing to tinker:

superbrightleds.com has a variety of 12v LEDs. Take a look at their G4-xWHP30-RAC panel. I don't recall if I bought from them, ebay or Amazon, but I put two similar panels into our standard porch light housing. I removed the reflector and bulb holder, then expoxied a flat bar of aluminum bent into a shallow Vee across the plastic frame of the light. The forward light panel is aimed to the rear of the coach and vice versa. Remember that unlike a standard incandescent bulb, LEDs have to be wired in the correct polarity.

The porch light now puts out an impressive amount of light over a very large area.

I think I paid about $7 each for the LED panels I used. superbrightleds.com may be super bright, but IMHO there are many sources that are super cheaper.

This is the LED light that we used to replace our standard porch light in our previous mh. Can work as a motion sensor light at night and monitors your battery health also. Well worth the money.

I purchased one of these from RV Upgrades last year, and it works very well. Very bright white light, easy installation.

We got the Revolution200 bulb which is the one used in that Smartlight. Very happy with it and it is much brighter than our original. We only replaced the bulb, not the whole fixture, but you can do either.

Honestly can't recall, but got it online. If you google you'll find several spots that sell it, and sometimes you can catch a good deal. It was about $25 if I recall correctly and fit exactly into the original porch light holder on our HR.

Gary I completely forgot about that web site. I saw it on the rvforum.net site. Think they'll still honor the 15% discount? That would be very cool.

To everyone else that's replied. Thank you so much. Good info. I've got enough info now to make a purchase.

This forum and the folks on here are so great!
