I guess we're like a lot of others. We're generally pretty friendly folks. We say Hi to folks if they happen to look our way, while we're walking by their camp or they're walking by ours. If the return "Hi" is more than a word or two we might chat a little from a distance. If the conversation continues we'll move a little closer. We generally respect peoples privacy though and won't actually go up into their camp unless invited. We've experienced the same from others. Some folks have walked right up to our camp, some just mossied on by. Now I don't know about the quotes by George Washington or other notable scholars. I just believe in that old saying of doing to others as you would have done to you. Particularly when camping or RV'ing. It's good karma.

My daughter wastes no time and is making rounds before the slides are out.

Agree Ron, and sons too.

While I'm not the most outgoing person in the world at home, when camping I look forward to getting outside, walking around, usually with my dog, and meeting my neighbors.

After setup, I'll typically sit at my picnic table with a cold adult beverage, and a friendly greeting and an offer of said beverage to any friendly looking passersby.

Same here...there is no actual "etiquette."
