OK, I found my original owners manuals and documentation that came with the trailer, and instructions are in there for Easymatic Type 924N Automatic Changeover Double Stage Compact Regulator.
So I guess you ARE correct, BFlinn!

Yes, it is. But my "manual" that came with the trailer is only one page printed out, and the entire left 1" of the page was cut off during the copying, so it was mostly illegible.
Thanks to BFlinn I now have a legible copy.
So now, the bottle that goes empty first I have the arrow on the knob pointed at it, the full bottle is my reserve. So I think I am using it correctly now.

I appreciate the Thanks, but it was Old-Biscuit who identified your photo and provided the link to the manual. I just read the manual and pointed out I thought you were defeating the auto function.

Imagine two scenaros.
1: Your bottles are simply "T"ed together, both are open, it's 35 Degrees out last night and the bottles ran empty.. Both of 'em.. you freeze your........ Off.
Or
2: YOu have a changeover type valve (Tank selector) you open both tanks, select one, the gauge indicates GREEN,, in the middle of the night that tank runs dry.. The Gauge goes RED and gas is allowed in at reduced pressure (Still high just not as high) from the FULL tank.. You see the RED, change the selector, take the empty to the refill pump and you remain warm and toasty all night long.
Does this answer your question?
