Why I appreciate irv2

I am so grateful for this forum and the people on it!

I can ask all the ignorant newbie questions I need to, and no one makes me feel stupid for it. People are so generous in sharing their knowledge and expertise and that has made the RV lifestyle so much easier than it otherwise would be.

Remember to hit the "Thanks" button when someone has shared something especially helpful! It took me a long time to realize what it was for, and I am sure I unintentionally neglected some very helpful people because of it.

This is the only site I go to for help. Everyone tries to help and that's good. There are no stupid questions on IRV2 which helps when a big problem for you sometimes is fixed by simple solutions from someone else.

Another nice result from the forum is if I make an inaccurate statement, someone will usually gently correct me so the information usually gets more and more accurate as others pipe in. Kind of like Auto-correct feature.

This is a good site!

Ditto on all above. Being in a small town, 100+miles from dealer or service center, it is often up to me to resolve or fix issues. I can go online and explain my problem and receive an answer from more knowledgeable and experienced people! That is the reason I paid for my membership as a contribution to keep this forum strong. $15 membership has paid itself many times. And a special thank you to everyone who makes a reply to help.

We find the posters on this site are so 'gentle' with their corrections as opposed to the 'other' well-known RV forum. It gets pretty rough over there at time. Thanks to all!

I appreciate the civil tone and that bickering and selfish nasty retorts are not tolerated in the community.

Over a year ago a patient I was conversing with told me about IRV2.com. I came here looking for info since I was totally ignorant of this field except for knowing I wanted an RV.

I read some threads and then signed in. I agree with you that the people here are amazing and helpful. I think about how much I did NOT know and how much I have learned and just feel very grateful for these people and this site. I also know they will continue to answer my questions as they come up.

I have met a few of the people I am on threads with and it is like we have always been friends. I can't wait to retire and meet some more of them. We bought our MH in May and have had a fabulous summer. Because of the people here it was a great experience.

I have thanked those who helped but did not know about the thanks button, so thank you for making me aware of it.
