Wifi in Canada National Parks

I read in my local newspaper today that there will be wifi service in the national parks in Canada.
The reason behind this is to attract the people who are use to or wanting to stay connected.
I do not know the details other than it will only cover the campsite areas nor do I know how well the service will be.
For those of you who need to stay online due to work or family, this may be what you require.

Remember the good old days , when " getting away from it all " meant just that .
Theory for cell phone and e mail addicts .
If it's trouble ; you don't need any; if it's important they will call/text/ e mail, back.

I think this is a smart move on the park of Parks Canada. Many of the Canadian NPs are in remote areas where cellular service is poor, furthermore, many visitors from the US have little or no affordable cell service north of the border and this will be great for us.

As an administrator of RVParkReviews, I can say unequivocally that WiFi is probably the most requested amenity at campgrounds these days and displeasure over WiFi performance is one of the leading causes of camper unhappiness.

Many people view the connectivity of the internet as something they don't want to "leave behind" when they travel because sharing experiences through social media is now a way of life for many. It may not be your cup of tea, but it is increasingly the norm not the exception.
