OK I'm sorry, but once again I listened to my relatives, one of which is an exMarine.
I was told that they heard or read an article about you should never use Windex on the double paned windows in your RV.
They could not elaborate because they can't remember the details.
Any one heard anything like this????????

Maybe they were thinking of tinted windows and maybe they assumed that all windex products have amonia.

I have used Windex on all may windows. They are bubble pane, with no problem to date.
They do fog up between the panes if the seals fail,but that goes with the Territory. Then its off to the window folks to have them reworked or replaced,most are having them repaired. Some choose to replace.

I've never heard it was a problem and I use on mine... which are tinted... all the time with no issue so far.

I like Glass Plus much better than Windex. Used it all the time on our trucks and Harvesters. Dust did not stick to the glass near as bad, and not near as much streaking.

Stoner Invisi-Glass, Makes windix look.. kind of wimpy.

Back when I had a vintage towed and the A/C went out on it and the cost of repair was prohibitive I decided to tint instead.. Got a deal, I ask about cleaning the glass first and the guy said "We use a Kick A** glass cleaner" and picked up a can of Invisi-Glass.. I opened the back of the Mini-van and grabbed.... An Identical can.

Had a dirty birdy or insect decorate my windshield, Hit the washer switch and the bottle was DRY. no spare so I dumped in half a gallon of distilled I had left over from my last battery top off.. Sprayed the spot with Invisi glass went back inside and hit the switch, First swipe of the wiper and. No more bug.. That's some stuff.

Windex, and window cleaners with amonia, should not be used on tinted windows that are tinted with film, it will scratch the film. It is okay on factory tint.

Spic and Span "Cinch" is the bomb on glass. I've got a classic car so I do a lot of window washing. Cinch never leaves streaks which can loose you points

DW is not going to believe I'm in a glass cleaning thread. Ha ha.
