What brand of awning? A&E or Carefree or Girard?

Basically the procedure is the same as for patio awnings and slide toppers. Remove the roller tube from the arms, slide the fabric out of the slots on tube and coach wall, and slide the new fabric in. Re-install the roller tube to the arms. Details vary slightly by awning make and model and instructions usually come with the fabric or available on awning manufacturer website..

1) Make appointment with repair shop
2) Deliver vehicle to shop at appointed time
3) Remove credit card from wallet

;-)

Yes indeed, simple procedure. You will need a drill and a pop rivet gun.

Try best in the nation! I'm on the west coast, I ordered all new awning and slide topper material from Chris at Stone Vos. Without a doubt, the best material in the industry.

I used Tough Top for new fabric on the Dutch Star. Followed their instructions for the A&E awnings.
Helped a friend redo his on his Diplomat, his were Stone Vos. Didn't have instructions but we muddled through it anyway.

Both seemed to be good products and fit perfectly.

You put a pin through the end piece of the awning to keep the spring locked in place. You need to drill out the rivets on the tube and remove the end. There is a whole procedure on this if you do a search.

My fabric is in great shape but I need to have them re-stitched ...might be easier to just get out a big needle & thread!! ...maybe nylon threat this time.

Most companies that sell rv awnings and material can tell you how to do it or will have instructions especially online rv awning fabric companies. do a google.
