Windows shades

Has anyone made their own day night window screens? The kind you can roll up or down with a 95% block from the outside in and a night shade? Want to buy but to expensive. seems as if they would not be hard to make on my own. Like MCD shades?

I changed all of mine to MCD shades. Worth every nickel on our trip to Alaska and the land of the midnight sun.

Scott,

This will sound strange, but try it. Go to a fabric store (like Joann's Fabrics) and look for a pattern for (roman shades). They are simple to make and with the right items, can be done without a sewing machine. Sewing machine would be better, but it can be done without.

Check out what material they have, look on the internet, there are places that sell it by the yard. and see if you can do this.

Good luck. Lynne
