Windshield glare

I guess I am like most others with a class A, dreaded windshield glare . If the sun is shining, I have a hard time seeing my mirrors as I back up. It's mostly on the drivers window.

I even tried a IPAD glare screen, can't see through it once in place. Wonder if a window tint will reduce the glare?

Any suggestions?

I used automotive window tint. First I used a circle just to tint the area that I look through to use the mirror. That worked pretty well. Then, I "improved" it by doing the entire window. The small area worked better so I am going back to the smaller piece of tint.
You have to be patient with the tint because it looks terrible when first on but then as it dries it looks ok. There is still glare, just not as bad.

With the Sun shining on a light colored dash, it produces a lot of glare on the windows and tinting can make the situation worse. Some tinting materials can be reflective(acts a little like a mirror). If you do have a light colored dash, adding a darker color carpet or the like would help absorb more of that glare and help protect the dash as an added benefit. Bob

Darker carpet or the like sounds like a great idea. I've seen black bath towels in Walmart. I think I'll get a few. I can throw them on the dash as a glare reducer. They can double as....................bath towels.
