Windshield protection

Has anyone used a product from Diamond Fusion to protect a windshield?
Internet reviews sound good. I just replace the windshield in our motorhome and would like additional protection if possible.

We just replaced both front windshields and would like to know this answer too. Third time for us.

I read reviews of Diamon Fusion. Not impressed, at a $400 cost, my $50 deductible per event suits me fine.

There is no coating you can apply to a windshield that will in any way make it more resistant to damage. Water repellent, sure, but that only lasts so long (3-4 months is typical).

There are a few companies offering clear protective films (overlays) that they claim will help resist scratches and rock chips. The legality is questionable and some states will require its removal if found in an inspection. Here is one such product (this is NOT a recommendation of it!):

Maybe NASCAR tear-off will work.

The very best protection I can think of is a low deductible Glass rider on your insurance policy.
