Windshield protection

Was interested to see if anyone has used any type of windshield protection to avoid chips/cracks? Film or whatever. Perhaps like this?

Looks like maybe a neat product but here's what comes to my mind:

• I wonder if they make it in large enough sizes to cover a MH windshield with one piece?

• How long has it been in use with proven results or is this version 1.0 with no real data yet

• Would have to be professionally installed for sure. Current windshield would have to be already in pristine condition before install. How far away would the closest approved installer be to my location

My concern would be what will happen long term. Read all the threads on this forum about the “clear” shields that are put on the front of many RV’s and how after several years they crack and craze. There are now several companies making a business taking the stuff off at a substantial cost of course.

Unless the warranty is forever and repairs completely at their expense, I would not touch it. Sound great, but the risk of having to replace the windshield because the stuff degrades over time is too high.

I'd be interested to know as well. I have wondered for many years why a product like this doesn't exist and have always thought it a good idea. Not much real information on their website. At some point, someone's going to be the guinea pig. Wonder if they have any testimonials, real life experiences?

Well, I for one, went to their website and am intrigued. They mention RVs and commercial vehicles in their brochure.
They even say it is harder than glass.
My questions are how does it hold up to many cycles of wipers and how much is it?
It sounds good on paper...
