Winnie Sightseer Discount

We are interested in new Winnebago Sightseer 35G and have tried negotiation with 3 different dealers in 2 states. Basically $163,000 for $135,000 or average 17% off msrp.
Final price, straight sale. I have offered at 25% or $123,000 and turned down flat! One was rude and sales manager came to strong arm me. I refused to budge and he told me absolutely no, because I can sell it to someone else for $135,000. Take it or leave it!
I left. What is a good dealer for Winnebago and willing to negotiate more than 17%.?

I'd also say stand your ground.....If you really really like that model and there and none around cut them a break and offer $500 more. (make sure they have your phone number and keep looking.)

This is a 2015 correct?

One dealer was a 2014 and the other two were 2015 models. After I was turned down, I was asked what it would take for me to buy today, I responded "A better price" and no one was interested. I would have thought that the 2014 dealer would dicker more, but he claimed he had too much invested to sell at 75% of msrp. Go figure!

His promised discount is way over 20% on this WB.

There is room for them to move. In May 2012 we purchased a new 2012 Sightseer 33C, MSRP $145,629, sold for $111,060 which equals a little better than 24%. We stood our ground and they made the deal before they allowed us to walk. Let them sit on it a while. Floor plan costs will eventually make them soften up.

Why would/should he take a potential loss of 12K if he feels he can get the higher price?

Have you thought about the Itasca Sunova? That may be an option, since they are pretty similar. Have you tried Safford RV in Thornburg, VA? Perhaps a call to Noah Ingram, the sales manager may be helpful. They sold us our Suncruiser and it was a very pleasant experience. We would return to buy another one from them.

That is fine with me, but when will the next customer wanting that unit show up? I don't mind a small profit and understand he has to stay in business, but I was there and willing to buy! Just not at 17% off msrp! Too many other dealers willing to negotiate on final price. Reminds me of when I was in market for C class winnie and tried to purchase for 20% off. Spent two weeks going back and forth. Gave up and purchased current Melbourne. Month later at RV show, dealer had same unit show special 22% off posted. I was pissed and said why didn't you sell it to me at 20% off. His answer, "I didn't know you were serious" . Two times we drove two hours each way and tried both times. Spent several hours trying to purchase at a reasonable price for both of us. He then said these shows cost a lot of money any they are willing to deal more to recoup cost and not have added expense of taking back to lot! Bull!

I bought my 2013 35g in California at Mc Mahons who is now out of biz for $124900 in March of 2014.
I did contact the dealer in Iowa (cant remember the name right now) right next to the factory and they were willing to sell me a titled 2015 for $5,000 more with same options.
I chose the one in Ca because I live there and I did not want to wait the 2 months that it was going to take to get it.
I am still waiting on registration for the unit 8 months later. :-(
