Winter RV-ing.
There's a LOT of information on here about winterizing, but not so much about winter camping...
I use a plug in heater when hooked up to save propane propane. But have noticed my windows have moisture on the inside of the camper...??

So I'm guessing that the question is - "How do I get rid of the Moisture?"
Crack the roof vent when you are showering or cooking - just need to let out the moisture. Limit the time and the Heat will not leave with it - after awhile you will figure it out on a time basis and all will be fine. moisture in means you need to let moisture out. In our experience we have generally just turned on the vent in the Water Closet for a couple of minutes after the shower. Having spent 3 winters in Golden Colorado this system worked well for us.
Hope this helps,

Buy a dehumidifier. We have one that we leave on over night and when parked in between trips.

We ran into that problem before ... I think we'll go with a dehumidifier like suggested.. Others here say set it in the shower so it drains the water right out...

Agree with you! I skip all of the winterizing tips and look forward to our second year of winter RV'ing. We never planned to RV in the northern tier but when faced with the unique challenge, we conquered it with help from forums. We had so much fun last year, bring on the snow!!!

We were snow skiing at Canaan Valley and Timberline this past January. Canaan has a campground with full hookups (minus water if it is real cold) that stays open all year long. There was 2 1/2 feet of snow on the ground when we got there, but the roads were all plowed and in good shape. Temperatures dropped down to 10 degrees at night, but we were roasty toasty. Just a few sites away from us there was a group of young teenagers on a school trip all sleeping in tents! They cooked on campfires, and cleaned up after their selves. It was a program to show kids that they can do anything if they set their minds to it. They were all well behaved and polite.

Historical note: so the nearest snow forecast to us was Upstate New York... lake placid area... we stayed at the whiteface KOA... very scenic and memorable! Camper did great but covered in salt and mud from the roads from our return trip...

We had the moisture issue happen to us also.
19 degrees outside and we were all toasty warm inside. The next morning, we had condensation on the bedroom wall slide. I read on here to crack a window or leave a vent running. The next night we left the master bath vent running and no more problem. We since bought a small dehumidifier for the bedroom to use while winter camping.

When we winter camp, we have to use the camper forced air heat.... As we have to heat the basement/underbelly. When it's single digits or below zero, you can't just heat the living quarters. Moisture is never an issue unless we do some pretty extensive cooking. Other folks have got it right tho, crack open one of your ceiling vents. To help speed process, you may run the fan for several minutes. memtb
