Winterizing for Mice.

this is our 3rd summer. We came back to find we had at least one mouse visiter.
I've been told to use peppermint oil. We have but I also read it does not work.
Dryer sheets? Yep all over the place. I set mouse bait out around the trailer. don't know if it deterred any mice. So what is the inside answer for mice in a seasonal parked camper? All holes are plugged. I thought!

Be careful with the clean up. Spray down with bleach. They carry Hants virus, which is deadly!

We use ultrasonic repellents, dryer sheets, peppermint oil & other types of scent deterrents and also glue traps like the ones in the video link on inside & basement storage compartments , along with rodent pellets around outside perimeter of the RV port https://www.tomcatbrand.com/en-mx/pr...killer-pellets

Before I retired we stored our MH in a three sided barn down the road from us. Kept it out of the snow in MI winters.

I noticed the two of the other people who stored their rigs there had spread moth balls under their rigs, under the engine especially and around the tires. They put quite a lot down there. Two did not.

I went and got some moth balls and put them under the rig, around the tires and under the engine area especially just like I saw.

Came out in the spring and no mice, no issues, had the dryer sheets inside and the place had a nice smell.

This worked for us for several years. When we are parked and hooked up to utilities we put (copper) steel wool around the hoses to keep the little suckers from climbing up the hoses and getting inside.

Buy some moth balls and throw them under the rig, should solve the problem for you.

My experience with dryer sheets is that it make excellent nesting material for the mice.
