Wipers

Was going to change the wiper blades on my friends 2004 HR Admiral. The blades are held to the arms with a screw and nut. Is this factory? Doesn't seem to be possible to change out just the rubber like in the old days. Of this is the case I'm going to change out the entire arms to j hook types since she's on the road by herself and it will be easier for her to change in the future.

This is factory but it might be possible, depending on length of wiper, to get the hood on style. Good luck and keep us posted.

Look closely at a new wiper blade assy. It should have a hole for that bolt/nut fastener. Remove the plastic clip-on attachment and it should be a direct bolt-on fit to the arm. I did that with our MH wipers, bought 26" RainX blades at Menards for $8 each.
Be sure not to buy the new(2014>) style blades which use a totally different attachment to the arm than say, 2010 style arms.
