The State of Indiana. I-65 from Louisville to Indianapolis might be the worst single section but the whole state can't build roads. More rough roads than smooth by an overwhelming number. Even the turnpike sucks.

You know, Just a few years ago, if someone in the the government just had the foresight to put billions of dollars in stimulus money to work on the shovel ready highway projects, our national highway system by now would be a thing of beauty.

Yes, I-35 in Oklahoma is another bad one. I now use Highway 69 just so I don't have to do I-35. You'd think that Oklahoma could afford good roads with all of that oil money that they've got.

Every politician in the state of California (state, county, city) should be in prison for the condition of the roads. Is is easier to make a list of the good roads in CA than all of the bad ones.

I would agree there!! We came though from I84 over to I90 and then into Seattle onto the 405 and then onto I5 and the traffic was horrendous. This was at 9;00 at night, thinking we would avoid the I5 cluster.
We were also down I5 through Sacramento and Stockton and yes it was rough. We then went through Bakersfield on 58 and that is another tooth rattler.

I really feel for the people that have to put up with that daily.

The CA politicians at all levels of government all have their little pet projects that seem to get funded without a problem. When asked about the money it is always the same "this million or two isn't enough to fix the roads". Pretty soon those 1 or 2 million add up to some "real" money.

The local plan seems to be "get the people upset enough and they will beg us to increase taxes" so far it seems to work, at least the raise the tax part. We had a 5 year sales tax increase that was due to expire just approved by the voters to never expire. Our City roads are still not being repaired.

I hope this isn't considered political.

US89 north of Cameron, AZ. If we weren't wearing seat belts, I swear we would've been launched to the ceiling. I wrote about it a couple of weeks ago in this blog post.

Actually I think it should be brought up more. I think it should be brought up when we vote. I think we need to scream bloody murder and not put up with it. It's a disgrace. We need every RV organization, every automobile club, every vehicle manufacturer, etc. to yell about this every day.

I want nice smooth roads to drive on, I deserve it. We've all paid our road dues and now we've got potholes and bad pavement joints to show for it.

You can tell that I'm still ticked off about that I-65 in Indiana and the other bad ones in Oklahoma, etc., etc!
