We have owned our class c for about 2 mo. Just took it on it's first long run. We camped for 4 days. The worst thing about all this, is not knowing the ins and outs of our rv. After 4. days we have learned quite a lot! Things will be easier when we learn all the different (workings) of our new home. It will all come with time.

We haven't been doing this long (just got our rig in August) but the only bad thing we have encountered in our few travels are what we refer to as "The Assumers". We must have poor luck because we are always camped near one or encounter one at the RV Park.

The Assumer: I hope you aren't going to be playing that music all evening.
What I would have liked to have said: It is 10:00am - can we at least get to "evening" before you start being concerned. Oh and the volume is not even a quarter up on the dial. I bet if you left my camping spot you couldn't hear it.
What i did say: No, we usually are inside and relaxing by dark.

The Assumer: That's a big dog you got there; not looking forward to hearing him bark at everyone going by.
What I would have liked to have said: You walked over to chat, the dog didn't even move to acknowledge you when you came within two feet of him. The only thing he is adept at is snoring and passing gas; I think you will be safe.
What I did say: He is not much of a barker; I can't recall the last time I heard him bark.

The Assumer: There are older people here too that would like to enjoy the pool.
What I would have liked to have said: Um we were here first when you walked up. Are you expecting me to leave now?
What I did say: Isn't it nice there is such a big pool here.

We understand that people want to relax and not have to worry that others will mar their good time. What is sad about The Assumers is they get worked up by just the thought of something possibly happening.

Well stated. Maybe next time you run into an assumer, you could tell them that they remind you of your all-time favorite song.

Meanwhile, back on the original topic:

Yeah, wind in the West.

The worst part about RVing is having to postpone camping long enough to assume the duties my employer hired me to do before getting back to camping.

Solution for Bad Neighbors Who Play Loud Music:

Bagpipes. That music goes thorough ANYthing.
Google: Red Hot Chili Pipers

Sand, sand is definitely the worst thing. We are always sweeping it out or vacuuming it up, and it is everywhere (at least where we go). Of course the dogs don't help things much, but we're kind of partial to them so you take what you get.
