A favorite term among instructors in each EMT class was, oral fecal contamination. Wish I had heard of the poo bug back then, I think the class would have liked it.

Our habit was to rinse off the gloves and put them in a side compartment where we stored quarter rounds for blocking tires.

Just have to add this one. We were staying at the Zephyr Cove Campground in Lake Tahoe. A fellow in a 5th Wheel was getting ready to leave and when he disconected his sewer hose from the RV, he stuck his fresh water hose down the sewer hose to rinse it out !! He didn't just hold it above the sewer hose he stuck the fresh water hose in about two feet !!
That was a first for me.
