XM antenna where is it??

Just got a 2016 Itasca Sunsta 27n with the optional XM radio tuner and went to subscribe with them and gave them the radio ID number and after several attempts by them to load, we kept getting this"check antenna". So XM said to take it back to the dealer. My question is, where is the XM antenna on this rig? Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks!

It should be on the roof, small black square. About 1" X 1".

The more common thing, is it comes unplugged from the back of the radio.

Yup, ours looks like that and is located on the roof above the drivers seat. Agree that it is more likely a back-of-radio connection issue.

cheers,
Joopy

I have seen them being installed at the factory fro the overhead crosswalk on the roof. You may also want to check all of the connections fro the antenna to the radio. I have a portable XM that I listen to in bed. I have a 25 foot cord and set the antenna in one of the windows (South looking) and can usually get a good signal. Overhead obstructions like branches will kill the signal also. Make sure your antenna has a good look at the Southern sky.

Ours is small black square, about 1.5" square and 3/8" tall with a small wire coming out of one side. Has a beveled top. Flat bottom. Is glued to the roof dead center at the fromt of the coach immediately behind the front cap seam. \ken

I would say if you can't find the antenna on the roof call the dealer before you take it back. They may be able to tell you where it is. Otherwise the check antenna may be as others said a loose connection or unplugged from the back. You may have to have someone check under the dash or or pop out the radio and check.

Good Luck!

Also on our 2014 Tiffin it was practially covered in self leveling caulk which rendered the antenna worthless. I cut the caulking away and it connected.

XM antenna

Problem solved. Found the antenna but it was as most suggested a loose connection under the dash. Fixed by dealer with a few other items, like putting my exterior rear ladder on that Winnebago forgot. Had XM refresh the signal and it is working greatl. Thanks all.
