Because we are shipping diesel to Europe...They use more diesel then we do..

Staying politely off topic. ;-)

11 billion in profit seems large. HUGE PROFIT!!!

But, keeping it in perspective, from 2006 to 2010, the nation's five largest oil companies posted an average profit margin of 6.65%. By contrast, Apple's profit margin exceeded 22%, and Coca-Cola's surpassed 33%.

So on $1 of total cost:
Oil makes 6.65 cents
Apple makes 22 cents
Coca-Cola makes 33 cents

Make sense?

Of course it gives you more daylight - look outside around 6 pm. My chest has been getting cold at night. Last sunday, I woke up at 2 am to set the clocks ahead and decided to fix the blanket problem. I cut 12 inches from the bottom of my blanket and sowed it to the top. Tada. Longer blanket at the top. DUH!!!!!! It kind of reminds me of daylight savings time.

I agree with the first poster.. We are supposed to think 3.19, not 3.199 (3.20)

That is also why so many price tages are XX.95, I have rounded to xx+1 (so 19.95 becomes 20 bucks) and had sales jerks correct me several times.. To the point where I told him that it would be over (in the example) 20 dollars after taxes and if he corrected me one more time he would see me walking out of the store empty handed.

He then stopped correcting me.
