Yellowstone/Grand Tetons/Jackson travelers take notice

US Highway 191/189 between Hoback. WY and Daniel, WY is closed due to the Roosevelt wildfire. This closes the road from Jackson to Rock Springs. Suggest using US 89 to US 30.

InciWeb has updated information:

US 191/189 was reopened Monday, Sept. 24. If you plan to travel this highway, I'd check with WYDOT or InciWeb for the latest information.

We were just down that stretch of road three weeks ago. Can't believe all the fires out there this year. The first day at the Tetons you could not see the top because of all the smoke, but cleared the next two days. We decided not to go to Glacier NP on advice of other campers we spoke with that had gone there and were frustrated with the fires
