Yellowstone RV Accident with fatality

Got word last night that there was a fatal RV crash in Yellowstone NP near Lewis Falls (by the south entrance).

https://buckrail.com/13-year-old-kil...icle-accident/

Evidently a rental RV veered off onto the shoulder, up the embankment and overturned. In the motorhome was a father and his twin 13 year old sons. One son was airlifted and one son did not make it. Father also had injuries.

We can only guess at the situation inside the motorhome, and by all means this is not an indictment of the father, but let this serve as a reminder to keep all occupants secured in their seatbelt, travel slow, and keep your full attention on the road. I have to admit I've been guilty of violating all three.

Please keep that family in your prayers.

I agree this is very sad. There was no mention that seat belts were not used. Will pray for the family.

Very sad, and definitely agree with seat belt comments. Being a rental, you have to ask about knowledge, experience, and capability of the driver. Yes it is a C class, but it doesn’t handle like a sports car either.
I met the wife of an older affluent gentleman who decided to get into RV. He had no clue, drove 80+ mph and crashed it. Same salesman sold him another one, he laid it on it side on a curve. Same salesman sold him a third one, he had ran it under a low overpass, the day before we met her.

I spoke to a First Responder who was at the scene.
