Yokohama Tires

I am thinking of going to Yokohama RY103's. 275/70 22.5inch.

Is anyone out there running these tires?

They would be replacing Toyo M140's. 275/70 22.5 inch tires.

Both are J rated.

I prefer heavy duty truck tires to smoother riding RV tires with softer (more blowout prone) sidewalls. I'll take stronger (safer) tires over a better ride any day.

THOUGHTS?

Sorry, I can't help with that tire size. However, when I purchased my Nissan Titan it came with Yokohama 19 in tires. I got aprox 40,000 miles from them including towing. They wern't worn out when I put a new set on, but I thought after 4 yrs it was time to replace them.

I have them and have never had a problem. They were a good tire and a good value.

Thumbs up

Put them on a dump truck up in Alaska. First I thought they where a joke but that did not last long. Lasted longer than any other tire that I had used. Go with them, I sure you will not be disappointed.

Just got a price in Peterborough, Ontario for 2 Goodyear G670 RV tires.
$553.28 per tire $32 Labour each to mount 2 tires, plus bead balance $27.83 each tire, plus tax. Sounds like you are getting a good deal.

Been running Yokohama RY-023 in an 11.0R 22.5 in load range H. They've done great for about 18 months and about 20K miles. Very happy. Most importantly they were more than $150 (each) less than Goodyears and Michi$$$$$leans. I got them at SpeedCo which is a nation wide company that specializes in oil changes and tires for heavy vehicles like trucks and RV's. Was very happy with the service this company performed.

I bought the Yokohama RY103's yesterday. My local family owned since 1948 tire shop was great to deal with. They charged me $398 per tire. $10.00 per tire mounting fee. $15.00 per tire high speed lead weight balanced (taped on the front, clip on the rears). Born on dates of week 30 2010. No disposal fee on old tires. Sales tax was $152.36. Total out the door was $2691, which was $448 per tire and even cheaper than first quoted.
These are some heavy duty tires, as were the 9 year old Toyo's that came off. Much heavier than any Michelin's or Goodyear's and a lot cheaper.
As stated before, I'd rather have heavy stiffer riding truck tires than softer riding RV tires any day. The 40 year tire guy that sold them to me said. "You will never overload those tires".
