Just say'n

I can't blame the employees of any state DMV for any problems with getting a new or renewed lic. This started because of the real ID law and each state was left to decide how they would implement it. The clerk behind the counter had nothing to do with the rules the state came up with only the state's lawyers and the state Gov.. Some places are simple some or a royal pain in the A$$. Virginia was one that I dealt with and I had just moved there and didn't have most of the stuff they asked for and I was Law Enforcement. So I got them to tell me specifically what I needed and believe it or not i had to send myself a letter so they knew I lived at a real address plus picture ID's. The reason so picky ????
They, Virginia, gave out driver's lic. to the 9/ll hijackers so now and for ever more they are going to do their damnedest not to do that again!!! So the rest of us have to jump through the hoops. In no way is this communism, socialism or any other ism.

Texas had an accidental computer purge sometime in the last 2 years and EVERYONE has to provide, anew, their two forms of government issued ID. My wife just went through this last Friday.
It was last week. Got my new license today.

Are you sure this wasn't a scam? You provide your SSN, name, date of birth and other sensitive info plus a credit card number and they steal your identity?

Really, So we who have had drivers licenses for years have to jump thru hoops to prove we are Americans? You feel fine that you have to bring all this documentation to the dmv to prove who you are. Sheeple at best.... Say Bahha...

Years ago the SSA sent my Mother a letter telling her she was dead, I assured her that she wasn't.
But we had to gather up forms and ID and she had to go the SSA office and show them in person that she wasn't dead.

Oh, and she had to take her drivers license, too. (to keep on topic)

Now the barn door is securely locked. Problem is all the horses are already out.The illegals don't bother to get a license so no problem for them.
