And there were the old diapers that had to be rinsed by hand and washed, they were the worst!

How about the shoes that have walked about in the dump area?

My worst dumping experience was the time an old fellow, we were younger then, managed to spill all the stuff from his black tank on the pavement and was washing it away with a hose without looking to see who was in the way. As luck (bad) would have it I had just finished dumping and was walking back to the RV when he got me. What do you say to an old guy? I said nothing because I figured he was having a bad enough day already. He never realized what he did. At that point the de-contamination station would have been nice, but alas, there was none. Clothes into a plastic bag and a shower was the best I could do. The moral, never turn your back on an old guy at a dump station!

When removing the gloves by peel place first glove in Palm of gloved hand and second glove will capture first packaging both with clean side out for easy disposal

Wow, you folks need to look around if the only "silly" things you've seen involved a slinky hose! How about the, I assume newbies, that back over everything trying to get in their spot! Our favorite Sunday afternoon pastime when park hosting is watching everyone leave at 3pm and new arrivals parking! Then there is the husband and wife satalite dish install, I know I've saved at least one or two marriages by stepping in and helping there!

Dang but there must be other strange occurrences in a CG.

I'll throw in a couple:

Moab, Utah. Small sites but lots of huge Class A units and 5ers. There was a small grassy island between sites which was expected to be shared by the next site. First night, fine folks but they pulled out so in comes a maxi sized Class A pulling a trailer which way overflowed the site. OK, I understand - that is until the owner got a line out and tied it to the front and rear of his monster coach - and proceeded to hook his dog to it so it could roam the entire patch of grass. Not very nice.

Somewhere in Illinois, very nice CG. We set up next to a Class C with two couples traveling. Sounds like fun - that is until they decided to play cards. Not bad, you say? Not really that is if you want them to play on your site's picnic table. After my wife asked them very nicely if we could use OUR table, they grabbed it and put it on their site. Oh yeah, they kinda moved theirs part way around but left it at the end of the campsite so I could drag it the rest of the 50 feet for us to use. Not unhappy to see them leave next morning at about 0530 - of course waking up that corner of the CG.

No, this is not a rant or complaint, just some random acts of silliness/stupidity we encountered on our last extended trip

I resemble some of these remarks! Keep in mind I am a newbie. I actually like the disposable gloves. I do keep sanitary wipes for easy cleaning of stuff mainly myself. I am getting better or less messy hooking up my stinky hose. Under no circumstances have I or will I store hoses in the stinky hose. I did resemble the guy almost backing over stuff early on. Couple thousand miles and practice helped. Oh lord the satellite dish brings back memories! My personal silly story happened when I did not fully close the black tank valve! Keep in mind this was my first trip out too. Arrived at Flying J to fill up and dump the tanks. Did I get a surprise when I removed the cap. Panic set in and it was too late by the time I figured out what the problem was. Almost sold the coach after that event!! Love this thread!

MO we didn't actually think anyone would do any of those things we were just making conversation, but now we know it really happens!

You have learned a lot in a short amount of time! Your ahead of the curve, Welcome!

Stick us a name or what you want to be called down there on the signature line, we're all friendly and our moderators do a good job keeping it that way!

On a side note. I will be touring the southwest this spring and early summer. If you need a laugh look for the Black and Red Winnebago pulling in. Be sure and keep your distance till I get the jacks down. Wait do I put the slides out first? I welcome any and all advice.

I use Windex sanitizing anti-bacterial spray which I hang in the wet bay. I spray the water spigot, dump area and my hands when I hook up the sanicon hose to the dump connection. When disconnecting, I spray the spigot and dump area again as a courtesy to the next folks and my hands also. I have the neoprene gloves but never use them. I'm always worried that the guy next door is looking at how I am connecting /disconnecting and going o be critical (maybe they will report me to IRV forum!)

I seen a guy last year in a brand new Ventena back in to his site three times and each time he straddled the patio. He eventually just left it that way.
The guy in the next site tried to help him and was told to (I can't repeat). It was a long week for him.

I was parked at a Walmart in GA a few years ago. I saw a women change a diaper and just toss the dirty diaper in the parking lot. She then got in her car and drove away.

My beloved Blue Bonnet Texas ice cream was even contaminated with listeria.

I don't even want to think about what goes on in the food prep area of restaurants.

The USA is quickly becoming a 3rd world country.

I've done that, but try not to be to obvious, seems to make people nervous.
Other times people think I'm going to provide the "entertainment! We went to a campground on the OR coast and got the last space. It was on the inside of a corner and looked bad. As I was getting ready to back in two guys came out across the way with a couple "adult beverages" in cans and sat down watching us. Guess I didn't put on a good enough show as I backed it in perfectly the first time other than needed to move forward a little to get my jacks on the pad. They went back inside right away.

Here is one. Two nights ago we were at the tiki bar in the CG (surprise). Parked right in front of the "no beach parking" sign is this big truck. Not really a camper. CG security comes around to find out who it is. Turns out there are a bunch of people that had a reservation two nights before but not the night before and may have been hiding somewhere in the CG.

Of course he tells them to get out. They had been swimming and one asked if they could take a shower. The answer is no get out. She says to him "your not being very nice". His answer is everyone else here is paying to be here so get out or I will call the sheriff and he will escort you out and arrest you.

They stop at the office and now decide they can afford to actually pay for a site. Answer was we are full up get out.

People do have a lot of nerve.
