Your Thoughts on Naming your RV?

You walk around the marina and all you see are boats with decals named "skippers giggles" or "weekend weirdo" and whatever else people think is clever and funny.

Should we band together as RV'ers and make this a trend not only reserved for boaters?

In fairness I have seen handful of RV's over the years with custom decals but most of them do not.

I'm all for it. In fact, I bought a nice set of stencils so I could paint a name on mine - Just haven't come up with anything I like yet but when I do.......out comes the paint brush!

I'll jump on that too.

Mine is named The Hog.

Way too Long (72 feet) and way too much fuel (6.5 mpg) running down the road!

Our sailboat (Nonsuch 30) is named "SummerPlace". Its now winterized and located near our home in Washington state..

We named our motorhome "WinterPlace" and we're now located in San Diego at Mission Bay RV Resort. Summerized.

Its a beautiful day here

Always named our boats and RV's. The present one is Our Time and it has custom decals.
As a side note, we have used that name for 5 years before the mature dating website came along. To late and bad luck to change the name now.

We haven't gotten our yet, but it will be named "Super Frog", the cute mascot for the TCU Horned Frogs. We are alumni and have season tickets and are on the waiting list to tailgate in the RV lot. GO FROGS!! We are very interested in the 2003 Monaco Executive with TASTEFUL purple trim. We have found one but are looking for others! Anyone know of one for sale??

There is a long thread on here about names for coaches, but I can't seem to find it right now....

I also have a thread about help for names on mine and the closest I came was Casper like Casper the Ghost except Casper the Coach ...it's all mostly white. There were a lot of great names folks came up with. So it was Casper, but I wasn't quite settled with that name, so it was never official.

But then dear cousin came up with The Vortex. Because all the swirling mind thoughts of mine that go into my coach. And all the goings on it needs. And all the stuff I want to do, and all the enjoyment/energy it generates. So that kinda stuck for a while.....but never settled on it either.

Then another friend came up with the name Joan. Like Joan Crawford, great star, but hard on the wallet. Older, but classy. Didn't stick either.

But these days since I lost my one and only pup of a lifetime, Katie, I think I am leaning toward naming it Katie. It was, after all, mostly Katie I was thinking of when I bought it, so she could come with me.

As time goes by, the more I think Katie is a great name for mine, not only because she is older and spoiled, but also because she is treasured more and more as time passes, like my Katie Charlotte was (is).

I am going to try to get a personalized plate for the coach with KATIE on it, but doubt its available.....

But, Katie or Katie C might be the name the coach finally gets.......

There was another thread on "name of your rv" but I can't find it, When I had my boat, its name was " Miss-B-Haven" and now with the Coach when we bought it, my wife's name is Kitty so......"Kitty's Koach" is her name.

We were previous live aboards on our Nelson Merrick sailboat, "Moonshadow." Our 03 Excursion was "Tranquilitty", our present coach is "Desamona" after a great Buffet song, "Desamona is building a rocket ship." In response to why? Why not? Names bring fun and warmth into objects we care for. IMHO!
