Zep'd my Bounder...
Hey everyone,
Over this past weekend, I went through the entire cleaning process that has been outlined here many times before. I am amazed at what it did to my 2003 Fleetwood Bounder. It was never filthy - though the before pictures are before its regular wash - so you can see how awful it was.
The grime was tough to come off ... when using BKF it wasn't making much of a dent on certain areas. They were spiderweb like dirt marks embedded in the fiberglass. The only thing that worked for me was a full spray of bleach/water solution. I let it sit for a few seconds and then scrubbed with BKF and rinsed. Amazing.
So - steps I took were RV wash (incl roof), cleaned and protected roof, then used bleach/water solution with BKF scrub, washed RV with dawn, washed again with TSP, then applied ZEP. I ended up with four coats and I couldn't be happier!
Here are some pics (tried doing before / after angles in order):

Great job !!! Been trying to talk myself into doing our 95 Europa.....
TSP
Trisodium phosphate (TSP) is the inorganic compound with the formula Na3PO4. It is a white, granular or crystalline solid, highly soluble in water producing an alkaline solution. TSPs are used as cleaning agent, lubricant, food additive, stain remover and degreaser. [2]

BKF Bar Keepers Friend.
ZEP is Zep Wet Look floor wax.
Both can be purchased at Home Depot or Lowes.

Thanks everyone. It was a lengthy process, but it wasn't bad. I think what helped was that each step of the way you had instant gratification as you could see the RV improve in its appearance. That helps keep you motivated.
That and all of the before and after pictures that I've seen online in the past ...

Zep has many cleaning products that work very well. Many oilfield companies use Zep washing products to cut the heaviest grease, dirt and grime.

I did my old fiver a few years back. Here in Florida between the luv bugs and sunshine, I had to recoat every 8 months or so. It had started to flake on the front cap so I removed and recoated the the front cap and just reapplied to the rear and sides.
