W5IT - I was hoping you'd do up those grits AND the jambalaya - can't have a National Rally without 'em can we???? Please make it spicy!!
Got all the other items down - thank you all for signing up so quickly!
JestMe13 - I've never had Scrapple, but have heard of it during our time in Ohio - can't wait to taste it!
ZOOOM! I don't have the foggiest idea what KAPUSTA is - so please clue me in!!! I put it under the meat category, but correct me if I'm wrong! No doubt it's a delight and I'll definitely have to taste it, but gotta know what it is first!!!!
CALLIOPEGUY - It was all I could do to put "IT" down on this otherwise tasty and tasteful menu!!! You can't do that to me!!! But alas, I've got you down for two cans of .....it...I can't even bring myself to say it!!!!
ROGUEII AND FRANKIE - great ideas! Everyone can bring a placecard for their dish - nothing fancy, just a description! The recipe cards would do as well, but you'd need at least 5 or more to share!

Sandy,
Guess we'll stick with what has worked in the past, Breakfast- Biscuits & sauggage gravy, Supper- Cabbage salad & a dessert.
Best,

Hey! Hey! Hey! Madame Boomer! 30 zillion culinary delightist cannot be wrong! This fine MEAT (SPAM) product is enjoyed world wide and it would be criminal to deny all of these fine folks the opportunity to indulge. Certainly this product deserves at least honorable mention under the MEAT column.I suspect it's going to cost me a beverage or two to convince you that just because John Wayne didn't like the stuff that it truly is loved world wide.
Ken
P.S. Since I'm only bringing two cans you'll have to get in line early

Put us down for the 2 dozen pastries and juice for breakfast and a Caesar's salad for supper.

Rupprs and Islapp -
Got ya'll down on the list! Thanks!
Calliopeguy -
You are right - for some, it is a culinary delight...oh gosh I can't believe I said that! Each to his/her own taste!!
You'll just have to go to South Central Section and look up any thread dealing with SPAM to see all the jabs about this "treat".
All the Texas Boomers know my aversion to the stuff and boy do they ever have fun trying to sneak it in on the menus!
However, I'll take you up on the TWO beverages and listen to your convincing arguements, but John Wayne and I will remain...no spammers!

Frankie,
I think a placecard to describe each dish
is a great idea just in case anyone has any
food allergies. Also, the cooks' name should
go on the card so the praise or blame can go to the right person

Put the Stewarts down for buttered noodles (side) & ambrosia salad (dessert) for dinner. I'll think about breakfast. I'm defintely not a morning person - even after coffee. We can always do more, but we'll wait to see how the lists pan out (pun intended) to see what needs filled in.

Ok, now that we got the SPAM thing settled you can put us down for a sauerkraut hamburger noodle hotdish for supper. In Minnesota "supper" is when the big hand is on the 12 and the little hand is on the 6.
Ken (and Renee...she's making it)

Lori - your post brings up a great topic of discussion! Everyone reading, please know that if you aren't the "morning kind of person" and don't want to come to breakfast, you'll not offend anyone! The same applies to the evening pot luck as well. If you have other plans or would rather not come, please don't feel pressured to do so!
Just let me know so I can mark your name off the list and I won't worry that you've not been online or not getting your emails to sign up.
Ken - so glad we got the "IT" thing settled, but you promised me two beverages!!! I've got your dishes down as well. Minnesota and Texas aren't that far apart after all...supper for us is just as you say...6pm or anytime thereafter!
Mike -
Your suggestion is a good one! There are many with food allergies and it is a good idea to put the name of the dish beside it. I've got the cardstock that can be cut to placecard size very easily and loads of pens so if anyone forgets, they'll be some on hand to fill in!
