10 Years Ago - The 1st National Rally

I just wanted to share with you something that I could not have forecast however what has come to pass for us is like a full circle or that's the way I see it.

In September 2001, the 1st National Rally had just concluded and a number of us had remained at Ocean Lakes Campground to extend our vacations. We went about our daily routines until someone poked their head out of the door of their RV and announced that an light airplane had struck one on the Trade Center Towers.

Initially, I flashed back in history to the B-25 that struck the Empire State Building so many years ago and I really didn't give it too much thought but I would have checked it out at some point.

A few more minutes passed and the News tuned more serious and I went in my rig to turn on the news. This was certainly not a light airplane.

After 10 years, here I am back in the same place I was on 911.01, at the Ocean Lakes Family Campground. I will undoubtedly watch it play out on TV again just like I did 10 years ago ..... I would not have figured that I would be in Ocean Lakes for 911.11.

As you can see, I've gone full circle on 911. The good news for us is that we don't have to go back up north; home is now only 18 miles away.
