Hey everyone,

Rob and I are all signed up as well. We will only be staying for a couple of days, better than nothing. Grouping us all together would be great. Frankie see you in a few weeks.

I on the other hand feel that "our" National should be all about what America is all about. It's a melting pot. We're all iRV2 Members and as such we should just come to the National without any preconcieved need to be with a familiar regional group.

We are all family and as such we should just have a basic need to be with our member brothers and sisters regardless of where people are based. That's what our National is all about, "Bringing People Together" for fun and friendship.

Regional gatherings are what we do very frequently, and that's great in of itself. The National presents us with an opportunity to bring our community together as a single entity. We the National attendees are what iRV2 is all about for the duration of the event, one large family.

I hope that we never get that big where we loose that feeling. At the First National Rally no consideration for regional positioning was considered and it seemed to work very well.

I agree with DriVer,mix us all up wherever we land.We meet new faces and the peaple that go with them.
Of course i love our FLORIDA BOOMERS,however, this is an opportunity to mingle.
Can't wait, this'll be our first National rally.Although we've been around here for over four years now.

I've never been accused of not going right out there and be happy to meet and greet ..however, I have a wish to be with my familiar regional group, so my request stays. If possible, I'd like to be put near the Nor Easters. Thank you.

edited because I keep being told I have an error and it won't post..but it really does, hence the duplicate posts.

Just 'cause I might be near someone I know pretty well, I'll still be visiting and yakking with the rest of you.

Doris, Perhaps I'm off base here but I believe you're the "poster child" for being with strangers at a National Rally. I believe it was you that went to the Branson Rally not knowing anyone and according to the last things I read from you about this was that you had a great time.

Obviously being near someone you know very well shouldn't be an issue with you, you're a tested veteran of simply having fun in a mixed environment and just feeling comfortable with the people that are around you.

If it'll help, Colleen and I will set up close by.

I'd like to share another perspective on the issue of "site arrangements" that may be helpful in deciding where one's site may or may not be.

Please be mindful that one aspect of a wagonmaster's job is to place rigs in sites that are appropriate for the type of unit and ampage needed. While many campgrounds provide 20/30/50 amps at every site in the park, many other campgrounds do not.

I had to re-do site assignments SIX TIMES (working with the campground rally co-ordinator) to get our sites set for the 2004 National. I tried to put people where they requested, but what's in the bottom right hand corner is that the campground WILL assign sites according to the rig size.

Sandy

I would say that at the National Rally in Nashville, some groups were very tight and not very accepting and others were friendly and easy to get to know. In one instance, I went over to a group sitting under an awning to introduce myself and say howdy and I was totally ignored. However a whole group of Wednesday night chatters came by and visited in person under our awning. It was great fun and we met some lovely people. However I know that our Nor'Easter group is very friendly and I don't think mixing would be a problem no matter where they were located.
