I will use this area to communicate any news regarding the 2005 National Rally as plans continue to develop and as events are added or are changed.

BIG, BIG NEWS

MILL BRIDGE VILLAGE CAMPGROUND EXPANDS UPGRADE PLANS

According to Brian Kopan, owner of Mill Bridge Village Campground, he has decided to expand his upgrade plans. Work is already underway to add a pool. As he worked on the pool plans it becam obvious to him that he should look beyond the pool project and upgrade other areas as well. He intends to add 13 - 15 new sites in the parking lot area. These sites will be full hook-up sites with water, 50 Amp electric, and sewer. In addition, he plans to add 50 Amp electric to 25 existing sites along the Pequea Path area of the campground. With these additions, and barring any unforeseen installation problems, the campground will have between 35 and 42 50 Amp sites ready to go for the start of the 2005 season. As a result of these expanded plans however, most of the "village", including the old replica of an Amish house and the replica of a one-room Amish school, will be demolished. Tours of the original mill and covered bridge will still continue.

This news has huge implications for our rally. We already negotiated the rate for renting the entire park for the rally. iRV2.com 2005 National Rally attendees will benefit directly from these improvements at no additional cost. I hope this positively influences the decision on whether or not to attend for those who may be "on the fence" because of previously scarce amenities.

These plans were suggested by Brian when we attended the MidAtlantic rally in Sept., but they were not definite nor as extensive. He changed his mind based upon circumstances as they developed. We did not wish to exagerate amenities that would not definitely be available. I hope you understand our caution as we proceed with this awesome undertaking.

I recently spoke to Brian, the owner of Mill Bridge. The park improvements are almost completed! Check out their website and you will also see a link to the National Rally.

Good news! We still have 10 -15 sites available and will keep the registration for these sites open until May 1. I released the remaining sites back to the campground because it is obvious we will not fill all 100 sites. So, get your reservations in by May 1 and join in the fun! You must pay in full when you register. All refund rules still apply:

Cancellations up to April 1, 2005 - full refund less $50.00 deposit
Cancellations from April 1 to May 1 - 1/2 refund
Cancellations after May 1 - no refund - registration may be transferred to another family at any time.
