We are staying about 17 miles south of Flagstaff for the next three nights. Saturday morning we'll head over to Williams.

Left Fairfax Thursday on the morning tide.. I-66 to I-81 to I-40.. branched South on I-30 at Little Rock on Friday..

Roads were great!.. only advice that I can offer is if you're not doing 70mph, stay in the right lane..

Why I-30?
Going via Tucson.. to see Auntie..

Then home via I-44 (at OK City) & I-70..

According to Google maps.. there is one mile difference between I-81/I-40 (via Memphis) and I-70/I-44/I-40 (via St Louis) home to Williams..

Who would have guessed?

Hello all.

Arrived in Holbrook KOA today, will explore the Petrified Forest and Painted Desert the next couple of days.

We didn't have much of a chance to drive the left lane along I-40, just passing some 18 Weelers going up those long inclines.

There is road construction on I-40, repaiving mostly, but no major delay.

Drive Safe, see you on Saturday.

Henry.

Balmorhea State Park (Texas) last night and Willcox, AZ tonight. Tomorrow we take I-10 to Phoenix and then I-17 up to Cottonwood, AZ for tomorrow night. After a Wally World run on Sunday (noon?) we will be in Williams sometime early Sunday afternoon.

We have had good weather until today. We had rain in El Paso and then more rain in New Mexico. It has been clear and nice since we hit Arizona.
