Thanks everyone for the feedback. Diandtom, the rally will be held in Williams, Arizona just off of I 40 and yes Richard part of the fee will be a train ride to and from the Grand Canyon with 4 hours at the Canyon to take in some sights. You will have the optionto take a bus tour with lunch or walk around on your own. Because of all the sights to see in the area we will have 2 free days to look around I will get into more detail soon.

Jim

Decision??? We all know which one will be more fun.

I have already got my big yellow crayon out and colored the roads to Williams, AZ.

Did I hear CARAVAN from SE Texas.......

Ken, All we need to do is determine where we are all meeting up. The Texans are going to Arizona in 2010!

Must admit I just "scanned" the post the first time, found it later.I thought something that big and important should have been in big letters and/or the post title!

I will probably stop at Loop 209 RV in Lubbock and USA RV in Gallup, NM on the way they are both good parks and the distance between each is about what I like to drive on a day. Short haul then from Gallup on in to Williams.

Sounds like fun, shame I won't be able to make it. Starting next March 31 I have to be down to 0 hrs vacation or lose it, can't carry over any vacation time so that limits me to one week available in July. Only other possibility is to get laid off by then.

Caravan will form wherever we decide for it to form, but I would suggest something on the the order of a kick off camp out in the Houston area (or at Don's house) the night before we head out to see the trench in the dirt. July 2010, man that's a long time to sit around and whimper.

I can see it now...a covey of pink flamingos headed northwest in the summer.

We eat so we can camp so we can eat.

And one other thing...Ken, quit bragging about your fuel mileage.

Hard to say right now to far away in time, but depending on when we got out of town, would probably stop at Junction or Fort Stockton the first night and plan from there.

Best,

Bob

Jim The Boomers did the caravan thing to the 2nd TN National and while it was fun I think the Madame will tell you it was a logistical nightmare. This event is a waaaaaaaaaay off however and who knows we might want to try the caravan thing again by then. Right now I still plan to stop in Lubbock and Gallup.
