I have not put any details into this post yet because the 2009 hasn't started yet, as soon as it has finished I will list the exact park and prices and everything I have at that time on a official post telling all and then Andy will get the sign up page up in do time and we will be on our way. Thanks everyone for jumping in and letting us know how interested everyone is and I will try and get a few more surprises set up before I make the post.

Thanks again
Jim

Best news we've heard yet regarding 2010 travel. We are now planning to go to the 2010 IRV2.com rally. Looks like a strong possibility of a caravan originating somewhere in the Houston area. This news made my day....

Paul

Jim, barring a catastrophe we'll be there! I really like AZ whether its hot as blazes or cold as a well diggers _ _ _. Planned to move there until 14 grandchildren changed my wife's mind. Let's see, if the Texans leave three days prior, and I do too. I should find their caravan somewhere along I40. Gallup, NM is my layover point too. Wonder if they shoot Northerners for tagging along___?

Ray I plan to stop at the USA RV Park in Gallup on the way. Not sure how many Boomers will be with me right now but we would welcome you to hook up with us for the sprint on in to Williams.

Just a word of caution Ray...Don has a tendency of "things" flying off his 5'er. You might consider leading instead of following.

If he lets Don use a big roll of Duct Tape before he rolls out, he should be fine

It's on the calendar..

Mr Google sez the direct route is 2223 miles (1 day 9 hours).. 809 more miles than Perrin..

But we shall probably take the Northern route through St. Louis.. brings it up to 2228 miles (1 day 9 hours).. (pick up I-40 in OK City vs Dollywood)

Weather.com sez the weather should be nice. average high is 83deg

http://www.weather.com/weather/wxcli...4?climoMonth=7

I drove I-40 in 1997 and it took us two full days from Winslow Az to Northern VA no matter what Mr Google sez.. we should take 5 or 6 days each way..

Note to Boomers.. Please bring Shiner Bock..

Hey Don,

Patsy and I plan to go to this rally. We will most likely hook up with your caravan. Maybe we can get a poker game going someplace!!

Like KSTAR we haven't been to a national since the 2004 rally in Boerne,TX. We may have to make it to this one. Weve been through that area once and it is beautiful.
Jim it will be good to see ya'll again.
