Huh? LOL
We didn't save $20, plus the free night. (I assume you mean for the campsites, which most people will have). The difference for a two bedroom between 7 nights with the week charge and the IRV2 price was $33 plus tax (and $80 difference from what we wee mistakenly quoted). The week charge for the two bedroom was the better deal. But I had to ask for that, because she gave me the IRV2 10% discount on the 7 days regular price, but divided it as 6 nights and 1 night, so the computer wouldn't also give me the weekly rate. If you take the rally rate, you can't also get the weekly rate (which I guess is a free night).
I guess it took so long for me to get the confirmation, because they were having computer problems.
It's a fair price, and we're happy..we just didn't understand why it was more than we were quoted. Campground looks great.

I'm thinking there is more margin in vacation rentals to work with so incentives are more likely.
The RV campsites are priced at a single rate, no weekend bump (Friday) plus a 10% discount. I went over the math with the camp and yes we are saving at the rally rate on RV campsites.
The way I understand it is; if you pay the regular rate, plus the Friday bump, +tax, "Yes" you can get a 7th night free but ultimately it will cost more.
Please feel free to discuss the options with the campground when you call them if you want to extend your stay or arrive early.

No it does not apply toward the campsites. My confusion was all about the vacation rentals.
For anyone following this discussion, call the campground and discuss your needs with them. They will give you the best rate one way or another.
This is the biggest reason why I didn't want to book campsites ...

Good I think it's a nice place too or we wouldn't have booked it.

Help_ I can't find the rally pricing structure. I did see the RV park rates and irv2.com discount. DW and I are looking to attend, and it will fit in after our circuit through the NW this summer. Both will make our summer a coast-to-coast experience.

As far as I can tell, all we've got is the campsite Rally pricing when you call the campground. Mike's still working on a-la-cart items, last I read.

How is it one careless match can start a forest fire but it takes a whole box to start a campfire?

I'm working on getting the ala-carte items posted. I'll let you guys know as soon as I get that up.
If you are wanting to plan for this event expect that the cost will not exceed $391.00 for your RV campsite (6 nights) plus all the activities, meals, entertainment inside the park. Add approximately $93.00 per couple for the Colonial Williamsburg Tour including transportation by a 55 pax motorcoach.
If we can get a Golf Tournament together for Thursday that might be a good thing. Would there be any leadership and or players that would want to participate in this type of event? Thursday is currently not scheduled for day time in-park activities other than the sit down dinner and entertainment in the evening. Thursday is listed as a Family Activity Day or an off site "local" attraction visiting day. (You choose your activity)

Thank you Mike, that clears that right up. Now, I cannot re-locate your directions for emailing you about volunteering (hopefully, helpfully), please re-educate me. This will decide if I need to arrive a day early.

Yea for the tour guide hints. Since we are coming all that way from Houston, we are staying an extra week to explore. Want to see all we can while we are there.
