The food was great last night and so was the band. I even got out and stretched my legs and danced a few. Jim

Thanks everyone for the wonderful time at the rally. It was my first time going to such an event and I am waiting for Mertl Beach next year. I met so many wonderful folks and enjoyed myself greatly. Thanks you again everyone. Safe journey home.

Clifftall I have witnesses, besides it's hard to take a PIC when you're kicking up your heels. Jim

There's always someone close by with camera in hand when I make a fool of myself ( quite often )

Although I didn't stay for the band (or the dancing!), I enjoyed myself at the rally. A big THANK YOU to Lori and all the other folks who made the rally possible and were so friendly.

Elaine and I really enjoyed ourselves. We renewed acquaintances from last year and made new friends this year. Addie really enjoyed herself with all of the attention she got. We are all looking forward to next year.

I want to thank Lori and the rest of the crew that made this rally possible.

We made it to Green Bay for the Packer game. The rain quite just before kickoff and the weather was great for the rest of the game. The icing on the cake was that the Packers won.

Bill and Elaine you did a great job cheering the Pack on today. We got home about 4:30 and have to do the four letter word tomorrow, work, Oh well someday I'll just stay traveling as I feel. Have a safe ride home to FL. Jim

Clifftall this is video proof that I was out there. Had my bright yellow shirt on to caution everyone to stay clear when I turned it loose. Kate said that it was a belly rub'er and I told her that I was more than qualified to fill that position. A good time was had by all in my mind. Jim

A good time was had by all!

They said we couldn't pull it off. It wasn't the caliber of a National. Not enough members would come. It languished in limbo for months. Yes, a few canceled, some had doubts. Blue Ox blew us off without even letting us know they weren't coming. The pessimists had the upper hand....or so it seemed.

But in the state where the movie Field of Dreams was set, & only a bit over an hour away from Dyersville, we built it....& they came! 3 weeks from the Rally kickoff, we had just 23 rigs registered. 1 week from the kickoff, there were 42. They came from the north (Canada), the south (Florida), the east (Virginia) & the west (California). Those behind the scenes worked feverishly to put together badges, programs, goodie bag items, caterers, entertainment & door prizes. Laura Sue & her staff at the campground went over and above to make our attendees welcome. Volunteers gladly pitched in to help with tasks once the Rally began (THANKS AGAIN FOLKS!). Attendees staged an impromptu "white elephant" sale. Melvin (wallynm) made a phone call & HWH stepped up to graciously host an up-close-&-personal plant tour for our members. By time the farewell dinner came around, tables were being pushed together so attendees could enjoy the delicious meal with their new-found & reacquainted friends. We weren't just iRV2 National Rally attendees - we were family.

I know I said it at the farewell dinner, but I wanted to again thank all of you who helped pull off "The Rally That Almost Wasn't". Thank you all for coming. I'm very proud of our "little" Rally. Good things come in small packages & this Rally proved it. It meant a lot to me that I got to meet & talk with so many of you. I hope you all enjoyed it as much as Dave & I did.

Til we meet again...safe travels!

Lori-

P.S. click on the photo - it looks SO much better in "Cinemascope"

How is it one careless match can start a forest fire but it takes a whole box to start a campfire?
