That's cool too. Just show up, and create an "event". Bring musical instruments, party food, and campfire stories. This could be called a "flash mob of RVers".

You are right on target Jim. We are going to have a great time no mater what. When you are with friends good times are bound to happen. We are looking forward to the event.

We were planning on making this trip/rally, but the late date for a final decision killed it. I have a scheduled retired law enforcement rally for the 14th. Not throwing rocks but someone in admin sorta slept while many of the iRV2 members were waiting and then finally made other plans when the date was finally decided.
Ya'll have a great time and maybe we will see you next year.

I'm planning on having a good time whether there's 2 or 200 of us there. Never been to Amana Colonies (or IA for that matter), so I'm looking forward to seeing the local sites, renewing & gaining new friendships.

Lori,
I agree with you, this will be our first rally and first retirement trip, so I am going to have fun no matter what. From Iowa the plan is to Tennessee to see my dad, maybe Pigeon Forge, then an Alfa owners rally in Alabama, and finally sometime in late October or early November, Florida for the winter. So I am going to have fun, period.

We can all get some wood and have a campfire so we can get to meet new friends. One way or another we will have a good time even if we don't have all the glitz. Jim

I made my reservations at the campground a while back and are still planning on going. Last year was our first iRV2 Rally. In fact, it was our first rally ever and we had a great time and met some nice people.
We are looking forward to it again this year. Besides, we already bought tickets for the Packers/Redskins game in Green Bay on the 15th which we will go to on our way back to Florida.
Does anyone know who is in charge this year?

Play 'em if you got 'em. I can't lug a baby grand along, so I will just sing. That's a threat, actually. I really do need to learn to play a smaller instrument. Harmonica would be nice. That way I could dance while playing. Another threat.
So how many folks who intend to show up at "the rally" are willing to bring musical instruments?

The Amana colonies should be cool, but as for the rest of Iowa, Lori I'll give you a preview.

Don't knock the corn it's a beautiful site, Just ask Kate, she and her brother raise about 700 acres of it on their farm. Also about 400 acres of green beans for Del Monte foods. Lets not forget the 65 acres of green peas for Seneca Foods. Jim
