Arrow 40 foot and greater length

Ladies and Gentlemen of all ages!

Unfortunately we may not have any more 40+ foot long sites in our contiguous site assignments. Those are the lettered sites that we have reserved on the beach front. They were issued 1st come - 1st served.

That said; Please know that for the period of September 14 through the 20th, 2014 - Ocean Lakes has over 60 sites in the park that will accommodate a 40 foot or longer coach. Some of these will be on cement pads with FULL hookups and WiFi.

You may be looking at getting a site in the 3000 or 4000 section for the same price as the sites that are currently reserved.

Here's the BIG equalizer. Although several attendees will rent cart that are located in front of the recreation center if you get a site in the 3000 or 4000 sites it would take you no time at all to get the recreation hall in a golf cart.

NOW here's the closer ..... If you go to the rental office with your "Rally" neck wallet and ID, you will get a 50% discount. The regular rate for 6 days would be $201.00. For the time of the rally a cart will set you back $100.50 + tax. This place is huge in fact the perimeter of the park is about 4 miles. We find it to be a lot of fun to cruise in the early evening up and down the beach. I'm sure that you'll consider getting a cart and if you do, you'll be glad you did. the carts are typically no older than 3 years since the park rotates the carts out before they get too old. All the carts that I've recently rented were practically new. The carts are 4 passenger electric types.

The reason for all this ink is because I just got an eMail from a gentleman that cancelled his reservation because he couldn't get a campsite to accommodate their 40 motorhome. Apparently the reservation clerks at Ocean Lakes told the gentleman that there weren't any more 40 foot sites. Now that's true however there are plenty of long sites so please don't let that hold you back from attending.

As time gets closer I'm starting to plan my trip east toward Myrtle Beach.

The main purpose of this post is so I will receive updates as new post are made. This will be our first big rally and look forward to placing faces with some of the screen names I've seen.

Anyone have any Must See places between AR and Myrtle Beach let me know. I'm starting to get excited!

Before I arrive I will spend a few days in or around Charlston SC and after I will go to Savanna GA. I 'd like to spend more time on the road but still looking for ideas. May just spend some more time at Fort Wilderness.

When in Savanna, you have to ride on one of the trolley rides where they drive you all around the area and tell you the history of everything. There is a lot of it in Savanna.

Savannah

You will enjoy Savannah. The city is composed of a number of beautiful squares, which are not real RV friendly so park and drive if you have a toad. Must sees:

1. River Street (enjoy dinner or a few drinks as the large vessels move by)
2. Mrs. Wilkes Boarding House (for lunch) served family style)
3. Lots's more. Use the link below for more ideas:

Things to do in Savannah GA | Savannah GA

The easiest way to see Savannah is to take one of the many tours that leave from the Savannah Welcome Center. You will enjoy the hassle free way to see the city.

Hope you will enjoy Savannah!

Let's keep this thread for discussing the iRV2 National. Please take other location touring discussions to a new thread.

Thank you,

How is it one careless match can start a forest fire but it takes a whole box to start a campfire?

I'm in the 3000 section and welcome others with big rigs to join us. I've been to this park and it's a great place. Just because we're not in the group sites doesn't mean we won't still be actively involved with the group. It just means we didn't call sooner than our other big rig friends.

It is a shame because we have had 1 cancellation as of today because the member felt excluded from being with the group.

All of the activities are going to be held in the recreation center and 50% off golf carts makes it easy to get around the campground. You can expect to pay about $100.00 plus tax for the week that you're here. That's really cheap by the way.

It is ashamed that we had a cancelation. It doesn't really matter where we park we will ask be together for the activities. If they would change their mind and reregister I'll gladly give them a ride to the rec center and back if they need.
