2016 iRV2.com International Rally

.
Announcing !!!
.
The 2016 iRV2.com International Rally will be held beginning on Sunday, September 11 through Saturday, September 17, 2016. These are confirmed dates. Please know that although the rally ends on Saturday you are not obliged to leave until Sunday since we took the better option to book a weekly rate. (7 nights) Please negotiate your early arrival or late departure directly with the campground.

The location for the rally is:
25608 County Road 4 East
Elkhart, IN. 46514
(574) 264-2914

As in the past, you are requested to call the campground, identify yourself as an iRV2 member, quote the dates listed above and book a reservation. The majority of the sites are 50A pull through, full hook-up. Anything after that will be a full-hookup 30A site. We have reserved 150 sites and there will be a little wiggle room for a few more.

Please note that there are up to a dozen designated Handicap sites. If you are the holder of a handicap placard or plate and need one of those, please ask at the time of your campsite booking.

IF you are currently a 30A RV, please ask for a 30A site and allow a 50A rig to book those sites. Last year we lost a few registrations because we ran out of 50A sites, however those folks were trying to register in August. AGAIN; if you are coming and you want a 50A site "Book Early." The weekly rate for a 50A site is $200.00. The campground may ask for a $40.00 campsite registration fee however to date, many attendees report that the campground has not been collecting deposits.

Mario's Inc is providing catering services and the rally menu has been posted. Entertainment will be provided by Jeff Gordon Shows. Seminars are scheduled on Monday and Tuesday, keep checking back for updated information. We plan on having more vendors than ever before.

Thursday afternoon features a special event at the famous Das Dutchman Essenhaus

Classic Car Drive-In - On Thursday 9/15
"Dash Plaque Night; magnetic dash plaques will be presented to the first 150 cars!"

Please join us for an optional evening of fun at the famous Das Dutchman Essenhaus Restaurant. On 9/15 a large Classic Car Drive-In event is scheduled and there should be hundreds of cars to look at. If you are not much of a car fan, you can go shopping in the "Essenhaus Village Shops." An Amish Family Style Dinner has been chosen which is basically all you can eat and we are going to be seated separately on the 2nd floor.

On Wednesday evening Bob's Electronic BINGO extravaganza will be held beginning at 7:00PM. Cash prizes will be awarded. On Friday evening we will have an ice cream social to be held in conjunction with the Cornhole Championship match. A farewell campfire is planned directly afterward.

Not to be missed is the World famous Shipshewana Flea Market.
Open only on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, plan on taking advantage of our Shipshewana Day on Wednesday to go and see this sprawling market. There are nearly 900 booths on 100 acres.

In the event that you have to cancel, the RegOnLine Rally Refund Policy will remain as is was last year. The refund policy for the campground will be determined by the proprietors.

We are "Excited" to bring our International Rally into the Heart of the RV Industry and we hope that our Elkhart, Indiana rally will be one of the very best yet!

Well, shucks. This rally is 200 miles from my front door and I can't attend, previous commitment, yes- already. I'd already forgotten about it until I opened our calendar to Sep.

Ray, You can't ever tell what the fates will dictate. Would have liked for you to have been there.

Estimated cost

I see the weeks cost for the campground will be $ 200.00.
I would like to book as soon as possible but would like to know
an estimated cost.
I am not asking for a concrete price but something that I can use
to calculate what to allow for the event.
Will it be close to last years that I can probably look up on previous posts?

I can't speak for Mike, but last year's rally fees were $129 per adult and $60 per child (age 7-17). There were also optional excursions which were separate and paid directly to the venue. Hope this helps your planning.

Thanks Dave. It's still early into the planning but we're going to work on getting our rally fee published by mid-April if not sooner.

I have to be in Charlotte Michigan at the Spartan Entegra Owners Academy on the 18th. I guess it is only about 85 miles, so I guess I could attend the IRV2 rally.
