I'll jump in here, 1493 miles from our home in Katy TX to the rally. 1/2 of that distance is driving through Texas alone. This year we drove a total of 1600 miles to Branson, sight seeing included. Ready to go.

I'm not speaking for the Rally organizers, or the resort, but noted some concern in posts over vehicle age and type. I made the 81 mile drive over there yesterday and the staff were some of the friendliest I've met. Gave me the VIP tour, answered every question I had and allowed me free access to drive around and see the resort first hand. I noted RVs of many types and ages but the general upkeep standards seem high. It is difficult for me to look at an RV and say "That's a 1999 Winnie" but it was obvious some had been around for a while based on simple fading of paint/gelcoat. I did see 5r's, trailers, class Cs, a Super B, many class As and even an Interstate bus conversion. I'm typically not a fan of conversions but this one seemed to have made a big effort to NOT look like it was a patchwork of sheet metal.

For those expressing concern over "Will they let me in?" I'd venture a guess that a well maintained RV is not going to be a problem, no matter age or type. Just my personal observation. Towed vehicles appeared to run the range from new SUVs to a super nice 62 Impala Super Sport. I'm still wiping up the drool from the SS.

Happy travels and, if anyone has questions regarding the area, to include Las Vegas, I'll give it my personal best.

Sure would have been a fun trip for us, miss the rallies and friendship we had at them.
Could reuse my irv2 cooking apron and visit the south west we never made it too.
Times have change now and age and eye site are against me but will enjoy this thread and others in the year to come.
It would be 2895 miles and 42 hours of traveling for us maybe I could get a proxies award.
Like I always say ENJOY and SAFE TRAVELS to you all.

According to RV Park Reviews, the Nevada Treasure RV Resort and Spa has an "Excellent" rating.

Check it out!

The Editors of RV Life wrote:

"Nevada Treasure RV Resort has a Polynesian feel with palm trees and gazebos. They offer 200+ large sites, each with full hookups (50-amp electrical) and a concrete pad for your tow vehicle. Most of the sites can accommodate multiple slides and RVs up to 45 feet long. Some of the upscale sites also have modern stainless steel BBQ grills.

From the main lobby, RVers have access to their family bowling center, which includes a bar and grill, as well as the fitness center, convenience store, and pool area.

Doesn't sound bad to me. Remember, it's a dry heat, heck a glass of iced tea doesn't sweat.
