Hi George & Judi ! Pat and I are toying with the idea of going out to this rally. Only thing that bums me is the heat. Last time we were out there was on our Harley in July, oh brother was it hot!!!!!!!!!! I wouldn't mind making a trip to the coast out of this.
Can you guys make the Mid Atlantic in Oct in Lancaster, would love to see you guys again

Williams, AZ is near Flagstaff so quite a ways up in elevation. The average high temperature in July is 83.7 degF with an average low temperature of 53.0 degF.

Ok, it looks like another member and myself are getting our "ducks" in a row so that we can go to the National Rally. We are planning on leaving Roanoke, VA at 12 noon on the 15th of July and plan on hitting the rally site at 1 PM check in time on Sunday the 18th. We will be traveling south on I-81 to I-40 in Tenn then on across to AZ. If anybody would like to "hook up" with us and travel across let me know...

Hi All:
Just saw the rally post. My wife and I are NEWBS but would like to give the Rally a shot.
I have to have the maiden camp out with the coach yet. I just drove it 370 miles home from VA Newport News to Allentown PA.
Working on my toad and tow bar setup now.
Regards Jim P.

And I thought that I was the only one who drove 700 miles a day.. We take I-70 to I-44 to I-40 (5 miles shorter & we see friends in MO) May see y'all west of OK City.. we'll wave as we pass.. (we'll still be burning cheap MO & OK diesel)

We can't wait to see you all out here. By the time the rally starts the temperatures will be great up there and we will need the break from the summer heat.
See you soon.

Naaa... I don't mind driving 700 miles in a day, matter of fact, that's a lite day. The Signature with the Cummins 600 rolls on pretty good. I just set the cruise at 1600 RPM (70 MPH) and motor on.
We'll drive until we get tired and then find us a (dare I say this) a Wal*Mart and shut her down for the night, then start her up again in the morning.
If our paths cross on the way out feel free to "grab hold" and roll with us across.

We are going to leave about two weeks before the rally and travel along I 40. We plan on doing some sight seeing along the way. After the rally we are going to the left coast and head north. We are not sure where we will end up. We do plan to be out for around two months. Anybody got any ideas on what to see and do ? We would appreciate on letting us know.
Tom

We will also head out early, starting off on July 6, crossing the border at Port Huron, heading south-west to meet up with some of you west of OK City on I-40.
This will be our first trip west, south of the 49th.parallel, so lots to see. After the Rally we will head north to Yellowstone NP, there we will meet up with freinds and explore the park.
After Yellowstone we will plot our way back home, don't know which way to take yet!

Henry,
Do you have any idea when you will hit the OK City area? We should be passing thru on the 16th around noonish. At this time we are planning to arrive in Williams, AZ around 1PM on the 18th. If we happening to hit OK City at the same time would love to join up with you for the rest of the trip out.
Charles

Charles.
We will be by-passing OK city around the 11th. I'm sure that our path's will cross somewhere down the road.
We will also be in Williams on the 18th.
Happy travelling.
