Is anyone from the east coast area (PA) going to next years rally at Williams AZ? We are going to make a nice vacation out of our trip by going to different areas after the rally is over.

Sometime next spring I will start making plans on our route as will others. The Texas group will have a caravan or two headed out before the event. I think we will head up to north Texas and then west. Looking for cooler weather.

Don't live on the coast, but on the right side (in more ways than one!! ) of the nation. We are considering the trip and doing research on the weather in Williams now. July is hot most anyplace I guess.
How long ya'll figure it will take to trip out? Route all of you will take?

About 18 miles north of Allentown PA. I haven't even tried to figure out which way we will go. If the weather stays the same as it is now in TX, (where we are) it sure will be a hot trip. Time will tell

Folks Williams AZ is near Flagstaff which is located in the southern rocky mountains. In the summer it is probably 10 to 20 degress cooler than Texas. It is also high desert and can get quite cold at night even in the summer.

then west on I 40. Should be a little cooler that way.

Off hand I know of 3 ways I80,I70,I40 Have ridden on I40 recently on our trip to TX. It was in very good shape. Might go out 1 way and home another as we want to explore some new places we haven't been to yet.

Last winter we spent a few months in Yuma and traveled I 40 east & west
Road is ok not to many pot holes. But for the July temps I think I 80 would be cooler.
Just my 2c worth.

Is that east coast?
I am ready to start now !!!! I love the west as it is so different from the "east" and we have had so much rain this year we are sick of the liquid sunshine. I feel quilty for complaining as North Carolina has been in a drought for several years now.
I made a committment last April for this Arizona rally and it would take a death in the family to make me change my mind. (My death) Hubby will have to go anyway, I can pack his ashes. Don't tell him I said that.
