Clean RV

For those of you coming to myrtle beach next month, I'm currently staying in ocean lakes this week. Had my coach washed this morning. They did an excellent job, using spot free water. They cleaned the roof and awnings too. The same company polished/waxed my rig back in march. They're called Keep it Clean RV detailing. They do it on site. Just in case any of you have to drive through bad weather getting here.

Thanks for the post. I'll bet they could do quite a business from iRV2 members that week.

How is it one careless match can start a forest fire but it takes a whole box to start a campfire?

They might even offer a special price if someone asked them.

Thumbs up Keep It Clean RV Detailing

I just spoke with Jimmy from Keep It Clean RV Detailing and Jimmy said that they would support our rally.

Everyone will receive a business card from KICRVD in their Goody Bag and Jimmy expects to begin working with us on Monday. If your rig is all grubby when you get here, it'll look like a million bucks when you leave.

KICRVD does not use the campground water to wash your rig but they run all the water they bring through a DI which is a De-Ionizer for a spot free finish. The wash is priced separately at $80.00. Jimmy told me that they do the entire RV including the roof.

There was a mention about wheel cleaning in case yours need polishing but we didn't speak very much about that but that service is available.

KICRVD will also "Buff Out" or wax your RV for $190.00. Results are guaranteed. Both a Wash and a Wax on your RV will cost $270.00 and we never did talk about length. I'm thinking that it's going to be a pay-one-price for everyone.

If you need to have this done, we'll have a sign-up sheet at or near the registration desk.

Jimmy said that all of his guys have been working with him for quite some time. He compared his prices to his competitors (that I know) and he's right in the ball park. Jimmy said that he's an established "local" company with a great reputation and most all customers feel like they have gotten excellent work for the price.

One lucky winner of a "Scratch Offs" will get a FREE Wash! Look for those scratch off tickets in your goody bag. To date we have about 100 nice prizes for the scratch off and we expect to continue receiving more over the next couple of weeks. We need 50 to 60 more or we're going to have some disappointed folks. At this time not everyone will win something.

I would like to try to make sure that everyone gets something. At the last National Rally in Virginia, we were able to accomplish that. I'm keeping my fingers crossed. FedEx came by today and we received 12 nice scratch off prizes. I can't list all the contributors right now but they all will be listed in he Rally Program.

I can also recommend Keep it Clean. I started using them when I got my Allure last year and have had them wash and wax it twice while at Ocean Lakes. They do a great job at a very reasonable price.

We are signed up too! It's great to have these services available for attendees.

Info-

I just talked to Jimmy and he wants "Cash only" for payment.

No problem on my part, I'm just posting this for your benefit-

I just recently saw a Army Warrant Officer retiree fall off the top rung of his 5th wheel ladder- last November- going up on the roof to wash the roof. He landed on the macadam behind the concrete pad his rig was on. He shattered his right hip and broke 3 ribs, and dislocated his shoulder. Several of us helped nurse him back, somewhat, until we left Gulfport, MS in early April. His wife was in the hospital and re-hab facility with him most of the time. Dick Kilpratick and I, had to care for their two dogs. We also had to get propane bottles refilled, remove the bathroom door so he could get to the potty with a walker, etc, when he got discharged from the hospital.

He sure wished he had hired someone to do his rig-

I am signed up for Monday to have mine washed, waxed, and the wheels polished. We are going to be in site HH37 if you want to stop by and talk to them. The cost on the wheels was an additional $20.00 per wheel.

He is coming to wash mine tomorrow before the rest of you wear him out

Dave, I will be curious to see how they do the wheels. While I think his prices are fair, I have been reluctant to pay him an additional $120 to do my wheels and have been using Wicked metal polish on them.
