That's probably your best bet - stay on 20 past Weatherford and then at Mineral Wells you'll take 281 North to Perrin (about 15 miles).

Jim and Cherie -
Your directions are the same except you'll be coming in from the west! BTW - when you pass through Odessa, wave at the place for me (I was born and raised there)!

Don' blink when you get to Perrin! You'll turn right onto 2210 and the rv park is about 2 1/2 miles on the right. You definitely won't miss that!!!

We will have signs directing the way from both directions on 2210!

Sandy

While the thought has crossed my mind, I will send out a private email to all those coming in from any direction with my cell phone number so SHOULD you need assistance of any type while you're on the road, you can call me!

Okay folks! It's REALLY getting close

I'm still TWEEKING! and probably will "tweek" right up until the day I leave!

Here's the list I have so far of those coming in early: If you're supposed to be on this list and aren't....better yell at me NOW because I'm turning it into the cg this week so our sites will be ready!!!

Finlays - arriving a week early
Allens - 17th
Rupps - 18th
Creekmores -18th
Browns - 18th

The following are coming in on Saturday the 19th:

Ridalls
Palmers
Wrights
Fergusons
Fauntleroys
Krylowicz'
Spade
Neal/Chennault
Wilson
Ellott
Montgomery
Blair
Norman
Olson
Yoder
Naylor
Cadola
Cason
Hammett
Curtis

WOW!

Reminder: Mike and Amber Brown originally invited us all over to their new rv for a cook out on Saturday night. Of course, the list of early arrivals was much smaller!!!

We'll invade their RV site, but let's bring:

grills and whatever you want to grill on them
and side dish
lawnchairs
plates and utensils
beverages

Finally, I'll be posting HOPEFULLY TODAY signups for the various outings scheduled for Wednesday. Be sure to check the new thread under National Rally to sign up to drive/go to whichever area outing you desire!

That's all........for now!
Sandy

Sandy, don't worry yourself to a tizzy. Sit down and enjoy a nice cold maggie-rita.

I am ready to get to the party.

Miss Sandy,

You can put the Curtis'(JC2) down for arrival on the 19th. Iffen and when we call the office to notify them, have we been assigned a site # so we can tell them? Will wait until you respond before calling.

Gotcha on the list Jerry!

Special Note:
Since the topic of site assignments was mentioned - I'm continuing to work with the campround on a daily basis. Everyone will definitely have a site, but I may not know which site until right before the rally.

We've had a couple of cancellations....so things are changing every moment so it's best for me NOT to post a site assignement.

Sure as shootin' I post an assigned site and something will change and it's a recipe for 'UNHAPPY CAMPERS" - which I try to avoid at all costs!!!

OK,
Kris and I are off tomorrow for Perrin TX. and the 2008 National IRV2.com Rally. (Nothing like an early start y'know)

Right now, figuring on averaging 7 miles a day (may be opportunistic, since we're planning on pushing the rig by hand, 14 hours day---give or take, don't know what Kris can really handle yet)--gas cost y'know--((three really big hills between here and Mineral Wells, might effect our average)) but based on 7 miles per day, should arrive on or around Aug.6th, planning on making US 281 and Loop 1604 by tomorrow night.

Kablewizard, y'all make sure you hold on to that raffle til we get there, got some $$ to spend!!)

Still trying to figure if hooking the rig to two ropes and using our two bikes to tow will be better than pushing by hand. (think it will be better, still working on the down hill part)----

BUT We're coming, and on the way, hold the fort down--til ya see us!!!!!!

Fortunately, it's all down hill coming back!!!!!!!!!

Best,

We are gettin' down to the wire! Oh my gosh! It's 11 days until RustyJC and I head to Perrin!

I'm ready to roll........NOW

Just thought of something this morning and wanted to pass it along.

IF you have a set of walkie-talkies, bring them! We'll set them all on the same "band" so we can keep in touch w/each other. The campground is huge and I'm sure this will save a lot of steps!

All is well with early arrivals
All is well with the workers
All is well with the rv park
All is well with the caterer
All is well with the schedule
All is well with the entertainment venues

If ya'll can think of anything I've missed, better tell me now while I have time to work on it!!!!

Hey ruppr can ya'll come on by and pick Pat and I up on the way? Heck I figure I can save a lot of fuel cost if we ride with ya'll. Don't expect us to do any pushin tho.

Don, Let me see if I can work the routing out to y'all. Might help with a couple of close calls we've had.

Pita is not doing a good job on the brake pedal when we yell for her to step on them!(Seems to be a combination of light weight and indignant at be yelled at) You know cats------
But if-fen we could get you or Pat to work em----

Best,
