Speaking of food . . . The other day She who Must Be Obeyed and I enjoyed a buffet lunch at Aunt Granny's. Great fried chicken! We also chose from salisbury steak and fried fish filets. There were lots of veggies to choose from and salad bar. Finally, terrific cakes, pies and ice cream.

I took note of how often the staff rotated the foods on the buffet. Everything was hot and fresh.

By the way, Dolly's nieces and nephews call her "Aunt Granny." Coincidence?

Let's talk about Dollywood rides . . .

If you like roller coasters you'll have two, yes two, to ride.

Located in Thunderhead Gap, The Thunderhead is a classic wooden coaster. Across from Thunderhead is Dollywood's latest addition, Timber Tower. If you ever wondered what it felt like to climb a tall, tall tree and ride it down as it fell, you'll love Timber Tower.

At the end of Craftsman's Valleyyou'll find The Tennessee Tornado that includes three 360 degree loops.

On your way to the Tornado hang a left at the Blacksmith & Foundry and ride Daredevil Falls. Be prepared for a splash!

Down by Rivertown Junction you can ride The Smoky Mountain River Rampage and satisfy your urges for white water rafting.

TIP: Bring a zip-loc type bag to hold your wallet and money while you're enjoying the water rides.

For the very young in the crowd head to Country Fair where you'll find carnival and youth rides along with carnival type games to play.

Yes Lou, Granny's is where we wound up eatin each time we went to Dollywood. I think it is the "Bang for the buck" in the park.

Hopefully yall can slide by the campground during the week and join us for a while. Even if it is just to sit under the pavilion and chat/visit a while.
