Our wonderful friends, the Hammett family from Stone Mountain Georgia, contacted me today to inquire about the facilities at Railside where our 2010 National Rally will be held. As many of us who know the Hammetts, they travel with 3-4 wheelchair bound children.

In response to her inquiry, I called Railside personally to talk with them and get a feel for the facilities available for those w/ challenges.

Railside is a completely handicap accessible facility with ramps for the rally halls, restrooms and other areas such as the laundry room. I was told that all the "common areas" have "white gravel" that is packed well and there are those with scooters often in the park that are able to cross from one area to another without any problems.

So.......if you have a wheelchair, scooter or other equipment geared for physical needs - the rv park has been designed with you in mind!
